CLCs in NSW and a range of legal, health, women’s, youth and community organisations are concerned that these changes to child protection laws may disproportionately impact on vulnerable and disadvantaged families, without giving careful consideration to the best interests of the child.

The NSW Government released the Child Protection Legislative Reform Discussion Paper, calling for comments / submissions by 22 March 2013. Further details of the consultation process can be found here.
