Congratulations to Mr Eugene Butkowski, 2008 winner of the CCLCG Award in the Law and Justice Awards. Eugene is a medical scientist and qualified lawyer who volunteers weekly at the Albury Wodonga Legal Service. He provides legal advice and assistance to disadvantaged clients and has also traveled twice to Rwanda for the Operation Open Heart Surgery team.

Whilst working full time as a medical scientist, Eugene also volunteers every Tuesday night at the Community Legal Service Albury Wodonga advice clinic since 2001. Admitted as a practitioner in 2002, Eugene has contributed immensely to helping socially and economically disadvantaged people access justice in his local community.
