New leadership for Community Legal Centres NSW

The Board of Community Legal Centres NSW (CLCNSW) is excited to announce the new Executive Director for the organisation.

Tim Leach will start as Executive Director of CLCNSW on Monday 12 February 2018, coming to the sector with a wide range of skills and experience.

He replaces Polly Porteous, who assumed the role on an interim basis in May 2016 after Alastair McEwin left the organisation to become the Disability Discrimination Commissioner at the Australian Human Rights Commission.

A bit about Tim’s background:

The Board would like to thank Polly Porteous for her extraordinary leadership of CLCNSW in particularly challenging times, and wishes her well for the future.

The CLCNSW Board is excited about the organisation’s future with Tim leading the CLCNSW team and the CLC sector.

CLCNSW represents almost 40 community legal centres in NSW – independent, community-run organisations that provide free legal assistance and support to people and communities, at times when they need it most.
