CLCNSW Sector Orientation

CLCNSW Orientations in 2017 will be on the following days:

The CLCNSW Orientation Program provides a range of materials and workshops for new staff, volunteers or Board members of CLCs in NSW.

The Program is an essential backgrounder, setting out community legal centre philosophy, history and key concepts in CLC service provision. It is designed to complement – and not to replace - the orientation provided by individual CLCs.

The CLC Orientation handbook is available here.

Four Orientation sessions are held every year at CLCNSW’s office in Surry Hills, and available via Pragmatic teleconferencing. These use a range of talks and DVDs to set the scene for your involvement with CLCs. Centre Coordinators and Principal Solicitors are encouraged to register new staff, volunteers and Board members.

CLCNSW held a short induction session for management committee members in June 2013. You can watch the presentation by then-Director Alastair McEwin and download a copy of the PowerPoint presentation.
