August Sector Session: Misidentification in Domestic and Family Violence - Panel Discussion and Q&A
Join us for the August Sector Session: Misidentification in Domestic and Family Violence - Panel Discussion and Q&A on 4 August, 12pm to 1pm.
This panel will feature sector experts discussing the urgent issue of misidentification, the implications of misidentification for victim-survivors, and how our services can assist clients that have been misidentified as perpetrators of domestic and family violence.
Misidentification in this context refers to when a victim-survivor is wrongfully identified by police as the perpetrator, defendant, or predominant or mutual aggressor in domestic and family violence, resulting in criminal charges, ADVOs and other legal consequences.
