Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a second year Environmental Science student majoring in Ecology, with a particular interest in traditional Aboriginal land management. I commenced my studies in 2024 after returning home from living abroad in Germany, with the aim of working in a field that allows me to be outdoors and actively involved in caring for Country, rather than remaining in retail work.
Completing an Aboriginal sustainability unit in 2025 deepened my understanding of the historical and ongoing legal issues surrounding environmental protection and Aboriginal land rights which led me to undertaking an introductory unit in legal studies.
I am extremely grateful that CLCNSW has given me this opportunity. Having grown up in a rural area and not completing high school, being offered a 2-week internship alongside my tertiary studies is just a cracker of a feeling and I hope that through my education and future work, I can contribute to uplifting others who may come from similar backgrounds and advocate towards environmental and culturally sustainable practices.
Rural and remote areas are the heart and character of Australia.
Do you have an interest in a particular kind of law or types of legal problems?
Main interests are environmental and land rights laws, but I also find human and consumer rights laws interesting too.
