Sector Session: Crash Course on Specialist Collaboration
At the May Sector Session, learn about how community legal centres can collaborate with specialist and generalist colleagues.
Join Hong-An King, senior solicitor, and Ella Sheppard, solicitor, from Financial Rights Legal Centre for a discussion about how collaboration with specialist centres could work more effectively.
This session will explore how Financial Rights can add value when your clients present with consumer credit or insurance issues, alongside other legal problems.

Victims Services Community Training Workshops
The Victims Services Community Worker Training Program equips social workers, health workers and support workers with the knowledge and resources to complete victims' financial support forms accurately and to provide appropriate supporting evidence to community legal centres making applications.
The training provides guidance for making eligible applications and understanding the nuances of the application process, plus tips for avoiding common mistakes. It aims to ensure that more victim-survivors receive the financial support they are entitled to under the Victims Rights and Support Act.

Quarterly network meetings
We also have 21 sector networks that cover a range of topics and meet quarterly in February, May, September and November each year. Join a network to share knowledge and experiences, provide peer support in complex areas, hear from guest presenters, coordinate advocacy, and develop joint strategies for improving clients' experiences of the justice system.
