Portable Long Service Leave Briefing

Join us for a short online briefing on the new Portable Long Service Leave Scheme for people working in community services across NSW. This new scheme allows eligible workers to claim long service leave after seven years of service — even if they’ve worked for multiple employers.
The session will be presented by Michela Beal from the NSW Department of Customer Service.

Copilot training: Practical insights and legal use cases from the Microsoft team

Join us for a one-hour hybrid training session designed for NSW community legal centres, presented by Microsoft and hosted by Gilbert + Tobin.
This session will introduce Copilot, Microsoft’s AI productivity tool, and explore how artificial intelligence can be used in legal settings. We’ll cover the basics of what AI is, how Copilot works, and discuss both the potential benefits and risks of using AI in the workplace.

Updates and Reflections on The Family Amendment Act
Date and Time: Thursday 15 May 2025, 10am - 12pm

Join Rishika Pai and Amy Power from Women’s Legal Service NSW for a practical briefing on recent and upcoming changes to the Family Law Amendment Act.
The session will cover amendments that took effect in 2024, followed by an overview of the next round of changes commencing 10 June 2025. Key topics will include:
